The number is now official: 77,000 people will be passing through Ben-Gurion Airport both today and tomorrow, largely due to the over 40,000 Israeli pilgrims returning from Uman.
450 international flights will be passing through the airport on both days. Delays are expected due to the overload.
According to event organizers in Uman, this year’s attendance was a record-breaker, with over 60,000 people on hand for Rosh Hashanah to daven at the shrine of Rav Nachman.
