Meet Trump’s Team

President Donald Trump was sworn in last week as the 45th President of the United States of America. The staff of advisors he created is composed of billionaires, CEO’s of big corporations, former presidential candidates, donors to the Republican Party and his Orthodox Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Secretary of State: Rex Tillerson, age 64 who formerly served as CEO of Exxon-Mobil. He is close with Russian President Vladimir Putin and is well connected with the Arab world. He has called upon the Palestinians to show true intent if they want to get to the negotiating table.

Secretary of Defense: James Mattis, age 66 a former army general and marine, commander of the central command, and a guest fellow in the Hoover Institution. He previously stated in the Senate that the capital of Israel is Tel Aviv. He also warned Israel that settlements distance the possibility of peace.

Secretary of the Treasury: Steven Mnuchin age 54 who served as the national finance chairman of the Trump campaign. He was also a movie producer in Hollywood. He spent 17 years working for Goldman Sachs and is a business partner of Australian billionaire, James Packer who is a close friend of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Attorney General: Jeff Sessions, age 70 formerly a senator from Alabama. He was deeply critical of Obama’s Iran nuclear deal and begged Obama’s administration to veto any anti-Israel resolutions in the UN.

Energy Secretary: Rick Perry, age 66 former Governor of Texas. He tried twice and failed bids for the White House in the 2012 and 2016 Republican primaries. Perry stated that if Iran attacks Israel he will stand behind Israel and support it.

Interior Secretary: Ryan Zinke, age 55 was a former Navy SEAL commander, and a decorated Iraq veteran. He just won his second term in Congress as a Republican Representative of Montana.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary: Ben Carson, age 65, was a former presidential candidate in the Republican primary. He is also a professor and a brain surgeon.

Secretary of Commerce: Wilbur Ross, age 79 a billionaire banker with an estimated worth of $2.5 billion. He is experienced in buying failing companies and reviving them. We hope he’ll do that for our economy.

Secretary of Health and Social Services: Tom Price, age 64, formerly a Representative from Georgia. An orthopedic surgeon familiar with health services he led the effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act, claiming that it doesn’t give adequate health care choices to patients or doctors.

Secretary of Education: Betsy DeVos age 59, served as chair of the Michigan Republican Party from 1996 to 2000. She is a billionaire philanthropist and education activist, who advocates heavily for charter schools.

Secretary of Transportation: Elaine Chao, age 63 was a labor secretary under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009 and the first Asian-American woman ever to hold a Cabinet-level position. She is the daughter of parents who fled China and is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations: Nikki Haley age 44, the daughter of Immigrants from India. She already used her opening speech to tell the UN she is keeping an eye on them and already denounced the UN’s treatment of Israel.

White House Senior Staff:

White House Chief of Staff: Reince Priebus age 44, is very close with the president and he was the chairman of the Republican National Committee since 2011. He was instrumental to the success of Trump’s Presidential campaign.

National Security Adviser: Michael T. Flynn age 58 who once said that Islam is like a cancer. He wants stronger ties with Russia and to fight Islamist militancy aggressively .He was the Defense Intelligence Agency director from 2012 to 2014.

CIA Director: Mike Pompeo age 53, a former Republican congressman from Kansas, was a member of the House Intelligence Committee and a former Army captain. He has visited Israel a few times.

Chief Strategist and Senior Advisor: Steve Bannon age 62, was the CEO of Mr. Trump’s campaign.

Special Advisor for Middle East Affairs:  Son in law Jared Kushner, age 36,  an Orthodox Jew from New York is a real estate developer married to Mr. Trump’s daughter Ivanka. They have 3 children.  Jared was a key adviser during the campaign in charge of digital media. Trump said “If Jared can't make a Middle East deal nobody can.”
