Housing shortage: Interior minister Aryeh Deri and Housing Minister Moshe Kachlon agreed on the development of a Haredi town next to Kiryat Gat. It will have 10,000 units and be on land in Moshav Uza in the Shapir regional council. All the units will be marketed through the “Price to Dweller” subsidy system.

World news:

Economy:
The El-Al strike is over. The El-Al pilots group announced that they have come to agreements with the company management.
Bad news for small Israeli businesses: The President of the Chamber of Independent Organizations and Businesses announced 2016 statistics and they are not encouraging. 43,000 businesses closed down and 1,000 declared bankruptcy.
Security:
The murderer of 7 Israeli girls will be free after 20 years in prison. The muderer, a Jordanian soldier in 1997 opened fire on a group of girls on a school trip in Naharyim at the Jodanian border, killing 7 girls and wounding 6. He is set to go free after 20 years in prison.
15 years in prison was sentenced to a Palestinian that stabbed a Jew in Jerusalem last year.
Politics:
Abu Mazen denounces regulation law: He called it “Theft of occupied captured lands”. Germany joined the denouncement saying: “we are disappointed with this Israeli step”.
Israel was absent from UN vote against Syria in order to give no credence to the status of the UN.
A senior Hamas spokesman said: “A few countries approached us asking for information about the missing Israeli captive soldiers.” He claimed the countries expressed Israel’s commitment to honoring an upcoming deal.
Russian Ambassador to Israel promises: “We promised that none of our weapons will reach the Hezbollah.”
Nasrallah’s deputy in an interview said: “Everything related to Israel and our reckoning with it in southern Lebanon and the Golan-The Hezbollah is not interested in calming down Israel, nor to allay its fears.” He added; “We are prepared to pay the price of our conflict”.
Judaism:
