The IDF is revamping its security procedures around armament storage bases since 63 were stolen from the IDF in the past 7 months. 50 were stolen from military installations, and 13 from soldiers on leave. In the Sde Taiman base alone an Arab contractor who worked on the base
stole 33 weapons worth hundreds of thousands of shekels.

A modified Taylor Force Act was proposed in the Senate which will protect US funding for issues of security cooperation and humanitarian programs if the US sees the PA stops paying terrorists and takes real steps to stop the violence. News of the bipartisan agreement was announced by Sen. Corker (R-TN), the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman. This modified version was praise by American Jewish organizations and we look forward to its passing.

Footprints in the Netherlands Jewish Cemetery near Boston lead the police to teenagers suspected of toppling over gravestones at the 158 year old cemetery. The same footprint was found on the stones kicked over leading the police to indict only one of the three youth involved leaving the other 2 considered bystanders. The teen is being charged with vandalism and was not thought to have done his crime motivated by hatred or anti-Semitism.

Judith Jones, an editor for the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group is credited with saving Anne Frank's diary from the publisher's rejection pile in Paris. She passed away today at the age of 93. She joined the company in 1957 and retired only in 2011 and was responsible for discovering many of today’s prominent writers including John Hersey and Julia Child. But she is most famous for saving Anne Frank’s Diary from slipping into oblivion. Anne Frank was a Jewish young lady born in Germany. She was hiding with her family in the Netherlands from the Nazis from June 1942 until being discovered in August 1944. It is a profound and riveting diary and probably the most famous diary ever published, selling over 30 million copies in 67 different languages.
