A New Settlement For Amona Evecuees this Summer

A new settlement will be established for evacuees of Amona in the summer, the political-security cabinet promised Thursday. The new settlement will be established by the Geulat Zion outpost, located in the Shilo Valley in Binyamin. The Cabinet voted and a telephone poll was then held among the ministers, who approved it.

It should be noted that the residents of Amona themselves requested to move to the Geula Zion outpost, even though initially, the settlement was not included in the list of alternatives proposed by the state after the evacuation.

The Amona headquarters said: “We are happy that our just struggle and adherence to the justice of our path has led to many achievements, the most important being the breaking of the dam and the establishing a new settlement in Judea and Samaria after more than 20 years. We pray that this is just the start of many new settlements in Yesha and the rest of Israel.  We hope the government will implement the cabinet's decision immediately, and that already this summer we will enter the houses that will be built in the new settlement. We will continue to be vigilant to ensure that this is indeed happens.”

At the cabinet meeting, it was noted that there are hundreds of dunams of land near the settlement of Eli, which were recently declared state lands. This means that anyone who wants to object has 45 days to submit his objections.
