On Thursday a few minutes before 3:00 pm local Israel time, police finally succeeded in removing the last Jews who refused to leave the Amona Synagogue. This concludes a relocation campaign that took the police over 24 hours to complete.
Both Policemen and the Amona residents were wounded in the relocation some of them getting medical attention as they were bleeding. A few moments before 3:00 police announced the synagogue empty of residents.
Police are now allowing community heads to retrieve the holy articles from the synagogue. Thus ends one of the more unfortunate and unnecessary sagas in the history of Israel.
