Police guards at the Trans-Samaria Crossing found four pipe bombs in the car of an Israeli Bedouin from Rahat in the Negev on his way back from Judea and Samaria on Sunday night.
A police sapper was called to the scene to neutralize the bombs, during which Highway 5 was temporarily blocked to traffic.
Earlier that day, a police force arrested a Palestinian taxi at the Tapuah intersection after discovering parts of M16 type weapons in the cab.
Both the Bedouin and the taxi driver were arrested and taken in for questioning.
