IDF Shuts Down Palestinian Radio Station in Hebron for Incitement

Israel’s Security Agency (Shabak) together with the IDF, Israel Police and the Civil Administration shut down the “al-Snabel” radio station in the West Bank for terror incitement.

The radio station was located in Dura, near Hebron, a known terrorist stronghold. The terrorist who recently murdered Rabbi Michael “Miki” Mark in a drive-by shooting was a 29-year-old Hamas operative from Dura.

Rabbi Aharon Yesayev, 32, of Holon and Reuven Aviram, 51, of Ramle who were killed in a terror attack in Tel Aviv in November 2015, were also killed by a terrorist from Dura.

Five “al-Snabel” employees were arrested and the technical equipment and transmitters were confiscated.

In March, joint Israeli forces shut down an Islamic Jihad television station in the West Bank called Falastin al-Yom (Palestine Today) for calling to carry out of terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens.

The security cabinet approved a decision in March to close Palestinian media outlets that incite terrorism against Israelis after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that incitement is behind the wave of terror attacks that has plagued Israel since October.
