The Hareidi Who is a Senior Technician in Israel’s Aeronautical Industry

In a discussion held in the Knesset  Science and Technology Committee concerning the ramifications of the Amos 6 satellite explosion in Cape Canaveral, Florida, MK Uri Maklev (UTJ) revealed that one of the hareidim who works in Israel’s Aeronautical Industry is a Torah scholar who had studied in the Mirrer yeshiva in Jerusalem and was blessed with exceptional technological skills.

When a top IAI executive heard that, he asked who he was referring to, and when he heard the name, he told Maklev that the man was a senior technician in the company and his specialty involved a specific part that dozens of scientists had tried to find a solution for and hadn’t succeeded, while only he had come up with the solution.

Maklev knew that the technician had just retired, but because he was so good, the company rehired him as a freelancer because they couldn’t find a replacement for him.
