Trump’s Itinerary in Israel

12:15 midday: President Trump lands in Ben Gurion Airport coming from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A welcoming ceremony will take place at the airport. An 80 meter long red carpet will be rolled out for the ceremony and 250 seats prepared for invited VIPs. The reception ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin, and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
Trump, Netanyahu and Rivlin will each give a short speech no longer than 3 minutes. Trump will inspect the IDF Honor Guard and the National Hymn of the US and Israel will be played.

Trump will then fly on his ‘Marine 1’ helicopter to Jerusalem to a special prepared helipad. He will then be received at President Reuven Rivlin’s mansion.  A reception will take place in the ceremonial yard area, after that there will be a small meeting inside the mansion.  When the meeting ends they will both make small statements to the media and proceed to the president’s garden where an almond tree was planted in Donald Trump’s honor. Next to the tree is the inscription from Psalms: “Seek the peace of Jerusalem, Your loved ones should be tranquil. There shall be peace in your halls, tranquility in your palaces.” The inscription is both in Hebrew and English.

After visiting President Rivlin, Trump will proceed to the Western Wall. Israel hopes that Trump will allow Netanyahu to accompany him on this leg of the trip as a gesture. At the moment it seems Trump will be accompanied by his staff alone and the Kotel Rabbi, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz.
In the afternoon Melania Trump and Sarah Netanyahu will visit the Hadassah Hospital in Ein Karem. They will meet with the medical staff and nurses and also with children in the hospital park and participate in a joint arts and crafts project.

At 4:00 Trump will have some down time at the King David Hotel. For the visit they took up all six stories of the hotel.  At 6:00 Trump and Netanyahu will have a private meeting followed by a meeting with working teams.

7:15-9:00 dinner together:  Donald and Melania Trump together with Benjamin and Sarah Netanyahu will have dinner together. Netanyahu will present the president with a deluxe “Tanach”- Bible. Parallel to their dinner, Trump’s senior staff will dine at the King David including: Ivanka and Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and other senior staff members. This meal will be attended by 80 people, half of them Israeli half of them American. The Israeli participants will include Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman, other ministers and foreign office staff.

Tuesday

10:00 Trump will meet Abu Mazen in Bethlehem.

1:00 pm: Trump will visit Yad Vashem very briefly, lay a wreath in the ‘Yizkor’ Rememberance Hall and sign the visitors’ book.

1:30: Trump will go to the Israel Museum and at 2:00 will give a speech summarizing his trip to the Middle East. He is expected to deliver a message of support for the Israeli Nation and will share his vision for promoting peace between Israel and the Palestinians and to integrate moderate Arab Nations.

3:40 Trump will reach Ben Gurion Airport and depart. President Rivlin and Prime Minister Netanyahu will send honor Trump in the airport and send him off with handshakes. There won’t be a formal farewell ceremony.
