US Sends another air craft carrier strike group to the Korean Peninsula: This is in reaction to the increasing threat of North Korea. The USS Theodore Roosevelt will join the USS Ronald Reagan strike group off the Korean Peninsula. It left San Diego earlier this month on a scheduled deployment to the West Pacific and Persian Gulf.
North Korean threat unprecedented: According to Reuters, at a meeting of Asian defense chiefs in the Philippines, the Defense Minister of Japan Itsunori Onodera said “The North Korean threat has grown to the unprecedented, critical and imminent level, therefore, we have to take calibrated and different responses to meet with that level of threat.”
Obama and Clinton dealt with Russia: Fox News says there’s an FBI investigator that knows all about Obama and Clinton dealing with Russia’s Uranium One Company. Investigator Mueller is also checking into Tony Podesta someone near and dear to the Clintons whose company was doing business in the Ukraine for Kremlin-backed forces. The Democrats originally lobbed these same accusations at Trump campaign Chairman Paul Manafort. Their strategy it seems is ‘offense is the best defense’ so it makes sense to take every such accusation and go back to the accusers looking to see where the crime really happened.
Unrest in Iran in response to Government dipping into lifesavings of citizens: The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) says there were over 2,000 protesters outside the Majlis building which is the seat of Iran’s parliament. The protesters shouted that the government is ISIS and it must go. Police tried controlling the crowd and arresting people. The protests began when in 2016 a financial scandal where thousands of people trusted their lifesavings with government institutions related to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) saw their fortunes disappear.
